Final Call for Entries!
The deadline was 1 October, but this is just a quick check to make sure it didn't slip your mind!

If you have attended any type of activity, or have had a squadron event that you would like to share please do so by submitting an article to the Evergreen Magazine! The articles submitted just don't have to be limited to activities. As a national organization we have gone through a lot this past year from the 75th anniversary to phasing in a new uniform. If you would like to put thoughts down on paper, and you think they are worth sharing to your peers make it happen! The same goes for current events around our communities that not all of us see! The purpose of The Evergreen Magazine is to Inform, Entertain, and to Persuade members, and this is only possible if we have submissions from people/members like you! ANYONE can submit articles! If a local parent or even community leader would like to they can!

In your free time if you would like to submit an article please do so. Please follow the following guidelines and procedures as posted on the Evergreen Webpage. Just click on the link below, and all the information you will need to know of how to submit an article and pictures will be there.

Let's try and get at least one article from each squadron in the Wing!

19 Nov / 75th Anniversary Banquet & Cadet Ball

posted Sep 27, 2016, 2:22 PM by Jessica Jerwa   [ updated Dec 6, 2016, 4:35 PM ]

Washington Wing is hosting the 75th Anniversary Banquet and Cadet Ball on 19th Nov. at Joint Base Lewis McChord in The Club, Tacoma, Washington.

Deadline to register: 11 November (no exceptions)

This is an opportunity for senior members to network with other senior members from across the wing. It's also a time to renew friendships with members you haven't seen for a while, and for cadets to see other cadets from other units. There will be a cadet ball after the banquet!

Help us celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Civil Air Patrol and celebrate and thank our veterans for serving in the military!

Cadet Programs is also hosting their Fall Senior & Cadet Workshop on this same day!

As Fall draws near, it brings with it the exclusive opportunities of the season: celebrating CAP's 75 years of service and Washington Wing Cadets' contributions to their community through our annual Fall Workshop and Cadet Ball. Join us for exciting Senior and Cadet workshops, fun activities, and great food!

CADET WORKSHOP:
This is an excellent opportunity to make new friends within the Wing and rekindle past friendships. A variety of workshops to choose from will be offered with handpicked instructors to provide the most memorable experience. One enriching workshop is the notorious dance class. In the past, professional instructors have been hired to instruct cadets in basic dance technique. To showcase the variety of skills our Wing offers, we have decided to do things a little differently. A few of your fellow WAWG Cadets have stepped up to share their expertise in the subject. So, if you feel shy about your dance moves, fear no more. We will also be dedicating some time to a Cadet Commander's Call, Open CAC meeting, and social time.

Cadets are heavily encouraged to attend both the Workshop and the Cadet Ball, as both bring unique and eventful opportunities.

Attached is the WAWG Fall CADET Workshop Information Letter. Please refer to it for more details.

SENIOR WORKSHOP:
Please come preview the upcoming activities and opportunities for 2017 at the Fall Workshop for Seniors hosted by the Cadet Program Department. Workshops will include the spring and summer activities, both wing and National, as well as how to apply and improve chances for selection. Yes, Seniors, you can and should attend the National Cadet Special Activities. We’ll tell you how and why.
