The application modules for the summer NCSAs and CAP Scholarships are now available in eServices. The summer NCSAs are listed on ncsas.comand the available scholarships are listed onwww.capmembers.com/scholarships.
Members have until January 15 to apply. Cadets must have an encampment credited in eServices to apply for an NCSA.
Also, it’s time for the squadrons to request the Air Force Association's Annual "Civil Air Patrol Outstanding Squadron Cadet of the Year Award." AFA provides every CAP squadron or unit a unique medal, ribbon and certificate to present to the most outstanding CAP cadet in each squadron each year. This gives cadets at the squadron level the opportunity for recognition. Each year, between 1 December and 15 January, CAP Squadron/Unit Commanders should request an award package directly from AFA’s National Awards Office, either by mail or by e-mail. It is very easy and quick to do. For directions, goto http://capmembers.com/aerospace_education/general/what_does_the_air_force_association_do_for_cap.cfm and then click on "AFA's CAP Unit Outstanding Cadet of the Year Recognition."
