Washington Wing Civil Air Patrol will be supporting the Wings and Wheels airshow again this year! Back for its 7th year, the Gig Harbor Wings and Wheels Air Show and Car Show (part of the Tacoma Freedom Fair) will be at the Tacoma Narrows Airport on July 2nd, 2017. This event will feature multiple live aerobatic performances and fly-overs, dozens of planes on static display, a 200+ count car show, vendors, and delicious food.

Sign up to help with the following: 
  • C/NCOs and Officers to staff a Membership Information Booth
  • Cadet Color Guard for Opening Ceremony
  • Cadets to assist with fundraising opportunity
  • Aircrew/Pilot to bring CAP Aircraft (day prior) who will also attend the event to interact with public
  • Aircraft Marshallers (qualified) to assist display aircraft between ramp and parking

WHEN:           Members check in between 1000 and NLT 1030 hrs                         A mandatory briefing will occur at 1045 hrs

Please plan for traffic!

The show opens at 1100 and we all need to be briefed and ready by that time.

The show ends at 1600. Parents may pick up Cadets then.

CADETS:        CAPF 32, CAPF 160, CAPF 161 & CAP ID

Bring $10-$20, sunscreen, personal water bottle or similar, and a smile!

Uniform of the Day

CADETS and OFFICERS: BDU's or ABU's

Officers may also choose to wear the Corporate uniform.

(Uniforms will be complete and in accordance with CAPM 39-1



Safety Notes

Sunscreen: Please apply sunscreen before you leave the house, and bring more to be applied later in the day. 

Hydration: Bring a reusable water bottle or canteen so you stay hydrated throughout the day!

Aircraft: If you are qualified and register as a flightline marshaller, please bring the required safety vest.
